Every year, YLC seeks out leaders for its Board of Directors -- the young professionals who make up the backbone of Young Leadership Council. There is no better way to leave your mark on the Crescent City than by joining this team of civic-minded young leaders!

YLC will hold an information session on Wednesday, July 19 from 6:00 - 7:30 pm at the YLC office, located at 1840 Euterpe St. This is an excellent opportunity to learn about the nomination process, how to prepare, and the fantastic leadership opportunities available to members of the board.

YLC will begin accepting nominations for its Board of Directors on July 12, 2017. Nominations will close on August 11 at midnight. 

It is recommended that applicants meet the following qualifications:

  • Are active, dues-paying YLC Members
  • Have demonstrated extensive civic and community engagement
  • Have previously served YLC in a previous capacity as a board member, project leader, committee member, or volunteer
  • Have been actively involved with YLC in the last 12 months
